In der Sprache begegnen uns hufig Ausdrcke wie dac sobie reke uciac za kogos (sich fr jemanden die Hand abhacken lassen), miec dwie lewe rece (zwei linke Hnde haben), nosic kogos na rekach (jemanden auf Hnden tragen) oder bronic sie rekami i nogami (sich mit Hnden und Fen wehren). Im Volksmund werden solche Erscheinungen als Redewendung bezeichnet. In der Sprachwissenschaft haben sich fr derartige sprachliche Erscheinungen die Termini Phraseologismen und Idiome konstituiert. In phraseologischen Benennungen sind oft menschliche Krperteile, wie z.B. Hand, Fu, Kopf, Herz, Auge und Bein als Komponente vertreten. Menschlichen Krperteilen werden bestimmte Eigenschaften zugeschrieben, daher ist die Bildung von Phraseologismen mit dieser Komponente in der Sprache sehr produktiv. Die Hand ist eines der am hufigsten genannten Krperteile in der Bibel und in Rechtstexten, sowohl in der wrtlichen als auch in der bertragenen Bedeutung, und somit ist der Begriff Hand schon seit Jahrhunderten ein mehrdeutiger Begriff und Bestandteil vieler phraseologischer Wendungen. Im ersten Teil der Arbeit wird ein zusammenfassendes Gesamtbild von theoretischen Grundlagen der Phraseologismen dargestellt. Hierzu werden Aussagen zur Terminologie, phraseologischen Merkmalen und Klassifikationen getroffen. Im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit wendet sich die Autorin der kontrastiven Phraseologie zu, indem zunchst die Dimensionen dieser Disziplin veranschaulicht werden und anschlieend auf die interlinguale quivalenz eingegangen wird. Im letzten Teil der Arbeit werden polnische und deutsche Phraseologismen kontrastiert und auf ihre quivalenz untersucht.
