The study shows the phytochemical investigation on the leaves of Strobilanthes crispus L. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated with the aid of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques including GC, GCMS, EIMS, IR, UV, 1D and 2D NMR. The extracts and the isolated compounds were tested for antibacterial activity using the microdilution antibacterial assay, and anticholinesterase activity using the microplate assay.
