Product DescriptionDie Auflsung einer objektiv nachvollziehbaren Bildersprache im 18. Jahrhundert ist in der kunsthistorischen Forschung schon in mancher Hinsicht kritisch untersucht worden. Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht das Ersetzen einer verbindlichen Ikonographie durch andere Bildstrategien am Fall des venezianischen Genremalers Pietro Longhi aufzuzeigen. Dabei wird die Verankerung Longhis in einer speziell italienischen Tradition der Genremalerei ebenso verfolgt wie deren besondere venezianische Ausdrucksform. Im Vordergrund steht neben wahrnehmungspsychologischen Phnomenen die Beantwortung der Frage nach mglicherweise unterschiedlichen Rezipientenkreisen, wie sie durch potentielle Offenheit in der Bildlektre ermglicht werden. Es wird hier den Wechselwirkungen zwischen Literatur und der Komdie Carlo Goldonis einerseits und bildender Kunst im Sinne aufklrerischen Denkens andererseits unter Anwendung einer groen Materialflle nachgegangen.About the AuthorDie Autorin: Petra Stammen wurde 1957 in Essen geboren. Sie studierte Kunstgeschichte und Archologie an der Universitt Bochum. Nach einem lngeren Italienaufenthalt verfate sie die vorliegende Dissertation. Sie ist seither im Kunsthandel und als freie Kunstkritikerin ttig.
