Product Description Need some wisdom, inspiration, or direction? Find it with Pink Flossie, a charming rosecolored pig created by Illinoisbased artist Barbara Marlene Bennett Webb. Over the years, Webb wrote and collected sayings, mottos, Bible scriptures, and quips that she now has paired with vivid, introspective paintings that feature Pink Flossie, a sweet swine representing the artist's inner child and alter ego. Each chapter showcases encouraging thoughts that offer direction, wisdom, and truth. The coordinating art depicts dreams experienced by Pink Flossie as interpreted by Webb. Pink Flossie started life in a photograph taken by Webb and soon evolved into a series of bright, creative oil paintings. The subject's appealing nature soon made her a favorite with everyone who saw Webb's work. Part art book, part inspiration, this volume highlights those things that are lasting and true: family, friends, God, integrity, art, truth, hope, and freedom. About the Author Barbara Marlene Bennett Webb was born in Macedonia, Illinois, in the twostory brick house built years earlier by her greatgrandfather, Reverend Kenan Ingram. A writer and an artist, Webb studied fine arts at Southern Illinois University Carbondale under the direction of Larry Bernstein, Michael Onkin, and Herbert Fink. In 1986, she was awarded a fellowship from The Mitchell Museum in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Webb's art has been featured in juried art exhibits in the Midwest, with her depictions of Pink Flossie receiving critical and popular acclaim. Webb works from a home studio located in Ewing, Illinois. She and her husband, Cy, have six children, fourteen grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren.
