Verstrkter Wettbewerbsdruck zwingt die Un ternehmensfhrungen, ber die Abstimmung zwischen intern und extern auszufhrenden Teilaufgaben jedes Aufgabenbereichs neu nachzudenken, um Hhe und Struktur der Kosten und die Flexiblitt der Unternehmung gnstig zu beeinflussen. In der Theorie ist die Frage insbesondere durch den Transaktionskostenansatz auf breiteres Interesse gestoen. Im Vor dergrund der vorliegenden Untersuchung steht der Aspekt der Reduktion der auerordent lich hohen Komplexitt des Problems. Zu ihrer Beherrschung schlgt der Autor nach einer eingehenden Analyse der bisherigen Anstze ein hierarchisches Planungsvorgehen mit einer strategischen, taktischen und operativen Ebene vor. Mit dieser umfassenden Konzeption lei stet er einen bemerkenswerten Beitrag zur Strukturierung des Problems der Bestimmung der Fertigungstiefe von Unternehmen, der sowohl seitens der Wissenschaft als auch seitens der Praxis eine breite Rezeption zu wnschen ist. Kurt Bohr Vorwort Die vorliegende Arbeit entstand whrend meiner Ttigkeit als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl fr Betriebswirtschaftslehre, insbesondere Industrielle Produktionswirtschaft, der Universitt Regensburg. Sie wurde im November 1992 von der Wirtschaftswissenschaft lichen Fakultt dieser Universitt als Dissertation angenommen. Derartige Arbeiten knnen nur erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden, wenn sowohl die lehrstuhl internen als auch externen Rahmenbedingungen untersttzend wirken.
