I bought this book as a gift for my partner who enjoys short stories, but some of the content was a bit dated. While it has some gems, a few tales felt more like fillers. Still, it’s a good piece for those who appreciate the history of Playboy’s writing.

Disappointing selection of stories
I expected more from a Playboy collection celebrating forty years. Some stories felt repetitive or not very engaging. It’s not that I don't appreciate short fiction, but I was hoping for a more curated selection of the best works. Just wasn’t what I was looking for.
