"Wenn Deutschland ein Knigreich wre, dann wre Durs Grnbein [...] der Dichterfrst" (Die ZEIT), ein "Gtterliebling" (Seibt), die "erste genuine Stimme der neuen Republik" (Schirrmacher), "Durs Grnbein ist das Edelste, was die deutsche Lyrik heute zu bieten hat" (Die ZEIT). Superlative gibt es viele, die seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre bemht wurden, um den Dichter Durs Grnbein ins rechte Licht zu setzen. Seine Gedichte und Essays initiieren, begleiten und kommentieren intellektuelle Diskurse, erffnen historische Rume, knpfen an, fhren weiter bzw. ad absurdum. Begleitet werden die Gedichte von regelmigen poetologischen Essays, die den Resonanzraum der Gedichte thematisieren und einen Dialog mit den groen Poetologien des 19. und vor allem des 20. Jahrhunderts erffnen. Diese Schrift verdeutlicht den Zusammenhang von Poetologie und Poesie bei Durs Grnbein, setzt dabei das poetologische mit dem poetischen Werk in ein Verhltnis und stellt heraus, wo die poetologischen Wurzeln von Grnbeins Poetik im Kontext der groen Poetologien des 20. Jahrhunderts zu lokalisieren sind. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Entschlsselung des poetologischen Eigenwerts der Poesie.
