There's a lot of powerful poetry in this anthology, but some pieces felt a bit abstract for my taste. I enjoyed reading it, but I also found a few poems didn’t resonate with me at all. Still, it's a good introduction to Black poetry for newcomers.

A Beautiful Collection of Voices
I really loved the variety in this anthology. The poems in the 'Jump Up' collection resonate with so much emotion and history, it's a must-read for anyone interested in Black poetry. It’s beautifully curated and showcases a range of styles and experiences.

Disappointed with the content
I was really excited to dive into this anthology, but many poems didn’t capture my interest. A couple of them were hard to follow, and I expected more variety in themes. Not what I hoped for based on the description.
