En este libro se analizan las polticas socioproductivas y el proceso de coordinacin interinstitucional que se llev a cabo entre el municipio de Chepes, la Mesa socioproductiva de esa localidad y el Ministerio de Desarrollo Social de Argentina, entre el ao 2005 y 2007, para la implementacin de polticas para el desarrollo de los pequeos productores rurales y la mejora de las condiciones de vida. Las acciones que aqu se relatan se inscriben en el proceso de desarrollo local y territorial que haba iniciado el municipio en el ao 2003 y que han contribuido a fortalecerlo. El objetivo del libro es analizar los resultados ms destacados del caso, identificar cules son las enseanzas que el mismo deja, y detectar los problemas y desafos que presenta para la sustentabilidad. Se utiliza como metodologa el anlisis de caso, se hace un abordaje principalmente cualitativo y entrevistas a funcionarios nacionales y municipales, a referentes de la Mesa y a los productores.
