Este libro presenta una investigacin cuyo objetivo fue caracterizar las polticas pblicas hacia la organizacin campesina en la dcada de los noventa en Chile, especficamente aquellos programas implementados por el Instituto de Desarrollo Agropecuario (INDAP), junto con las percepciones de los beneficiarios de dichos programas a nivel nacional. Se aplic para los anlisis el enfoque de la teora de sistemas sociales autopoiticos del socilogo alemn Niklas Luhmann y a partir de all se propuso un modelo analtico relativo a las polticas pblicas. Esta investigacin es el resultado del trabajo de tesis para optar al grado de Magster en Antropologa y Desarrollo de la Universidad de Chile.
