Les implants intraoculaires acryliques hydrophobes souples connaissent un remarquable essor grce leurs proprits optiques (nD201.55) et mcaniques. Des copolymres de mthacrylate de mthyle (MAM) et d'acrylate de nbutyle (ABu) ont t tudis afin de produire par polymrisation thermique des disques de polymre. Afin d'augmenter l'indice de rfraction de ces matriaux (nD201.48), nous avons incorpor des monomres aromatiques (chloromthylstyrne CMS ou thiomthacrylate de benzyle TMABz). Des disques transparents d'indice gal 1.52 ont pu tre obtenus, et parfois mme jusqu' 1.60. Des agents cytotoxiques ont ensuite t greffs en surface des disques pour limiter l'adhsion des kratocytes, soit par greffage ONTO et FROM de molcules azotes, soit par traitement plasma. Une amlioration des proprits antiadhsives (environ 50%) a t obtenue par rapport un chantillon non modifi. La premire synthse ONE POT de copolymres MAMcoABucoCMS greffs par la 2mthyloxazoline a t ralise avec un trs bon contrle de la longueur des greffons. Enfin, les matriaux ont t implants sur le lapin et aucune raction inflammatoire n'a t observe
