Les sens distincts emprunts par la finale suggrent quil sagisse dune finale polysmique. Cette tude comprend deux objectifs, le premier consiste identifier les relations smantiques qui unissent les sens distincts de la finale dans une perspective polysmique, le second est dtablir les patrons de lexicalisation de chacune des acceptions observes afin dtablir la correspondance entre la structure conceptuelle du verbe et ses composantes. Lensemble de lanalyse repose sur la smantique cognitive, savoir les modles de catgorisation et la polysmie (Kleiber 1990 ; Lakoff 1987 ; Evans et Tyler 2003) ainsi que les patrons conceptuels (Jackendoff 1990). Le corpus ltude comprend exclusivement des verbes intransitifs forms du morphme ipal. Ce mmoire, prsent l'UQAM, sinscrit dans le groupe de recherche sur la grammaire innue dirig par Lynn Drapeau et financ par une subvention du CRSH (Conseil de Recherche en Sciences Humaines du Canada # 856 20041068).
