Welche Effekte hat die Verliebtheit auf den Therapiefortschritt? Welche Rolle spielen Therapieschule und Geschlecht? Wie geht der Therapeut professionell und ethisch verantwortlich mit den Verliebtheitsgefhlen des Klienten und den sich daraus ergebenden Schwierigkeiten um? Nach einer Analyse der vorhandenen Literatur konnte eine Reihe von Effekten mit ihren jeweiligen Auswirkungen herausgearbeitet werden. Frderlich knnen sich Verliebtheitsgefhle unter anderem auswirken, indem sie das Vertrauen sowie die Offenheit des Klienten frdern. Von einer Steigerung dieser Variablen profitieren wiederrum eine Reihe weiterer Faktoren, wie zum Beispiel die Compliance oder die Erfolgserwartung. Der Therapeut wird wahrscheinlicher als erfolgreiches Modell erkannt und durch die Effekte der Reziprozitt profitiert die Dynamik der TherapeutPatientDyade. In der Gegenberstellung der negativen Auswirkungen, wurden zunchst einige der Hypothesen ber die wnschenswerten Therapieeffekte entkrftet beziehungsweise deren potentiell negative Seite aufgezeigt. Zum Beispiel die gefhrlichen Folgen einer erhhten Erfolgserwartung. Als weitere Gefahr wurde die Dominanz der Verliebtheitsgefhle im Erleben des Klienten angefhrt. Auch auf die Problematik von Verwischung und berschreitung der Grenzen der therapeutischen Beziehung wird eingegangen. Abschlieend werden differenziert die mglichen Gegenbertragungskomplikationen betrachtet.
