Premchand’s stories in this collection are lovely, but I expected more depth in some narratives. The themes are timeless, no doubt, making it a worthwhile addition to my bookshelf. I just wish a couple of stories were more fleshed out.

Great collection but some stories feel dated
The collection of stories in Pratinidhi Kahaniyan is impressive. However, a few of the tales come off as a bit outdated in today's context. Still, it’s a solid read for anyone interested in classic Hindi literature, especially for beginners!
