The Alphabet Resources Teacher's Guide lays the foundations for the phonics skills strand of Cambridge Reading. It can also be used to complement any other phonics programme. Firmly based on sound early years teaching techniques, it supports the Cambridge Alphabet books and the Alphabet Flipover book through activities which foster speaking and listening skills. The letters and sounds are systematically taught, and children are asked to use their growing knowledge of the alphabet as a key literacy skill. The book contains practical suggestions for using the Cambridge Alphabet Books and the Alphabet Flipover book, a suggested teaching sequence for the sounds and letters of the alphabet and ideas for encouraging homeschool links. It is accompanied by a separate book of Blackline Masters.
