La educacin en el mbito educativo espaol, est en un proceso de reforma desde que se aprob la LOE (Ley Orgnica de Educacin) en mayo de 2006, que sustituye a la LOGSE (anterior Ley del Sistema educativo espaol de 1990). La educacin infantil con la LOE contina como una etapa educativa unificada y subdividida en dos ciclos (de 03 y de 36 aos), tal y como se especific en la LOGSE, pero se introducen nuevos matices a la misma, entre ellos la importancia de las tecnologas de la informacin y la comunicacin y la enseanza del ingls. La educacin en Espaa presenta un modelo de currculo bsico, centralizado desde el Ministerio de Educacin, pero con un porcentaje del 65% o del 55% de currculo propio de las distintas Comunidades Autnomas, segn tengan lengua propia, adems del castellano. Al mismo tiempo, tambin se modifica desde esta Ley la formacin de los profesionales que van a dedicarse a esta etapa educativa, en los que hay diferencias de formacin y cualificacin si atienden el ciclo 03 o el ciclo 36.
