Este libro ha sido pensado principalmente para ingenieros dedicados al control de procesos, que deseen conocer los fundamentos tericos del control ZAD, y quieran profundizar en la aplicacin de esta estrategia. Esta tcnica de control puede ser pensada como una forma dbil de la tcnica de control basada en modos deslizantes. En el ZAD se fuerza a una funcin de error a tener promedio cero en cada iteracin. El libro incluye dos grandes componentes, por un lado contempla una componente terica, en la cual se incluyen anlisis de estabilidad y diagramas de bifurcaciones entre otros; y una componente experimental, donde se explica la manera como se desarroll el experimento, y la forma como se determinaron algunos elementos necesarios para definir nuevos modelos. Finalmente se presenta la comparacin entre los resultados numricos con los nuevos modelos obtenidos y experimentales, los cuales tienen una alta concordancia. El principal objeto de aplicacin del ZAD en este texto es el convertidor buck, pero de acuerdo con la definicin del ZAD, ste puede ser implementado en cualquier otro sistema dinmico cuyo actuador sea del tipo ONOFF.
