En este trabajo se presenta una tcnica de procesamiento de seales basada en la teora de la dualidad espaciotiempo utilizando dispositivos de fibra ptica. Se describen brevemente las caractersticas de los componentes dispersivos: fibra ptica y redes de Bragg; y modulacin de fase mediante moduladores electropticos y procesos no lineales en fibra ptica. Combinando apropiadamente propagacin dispersiva y modulacin cuadrtica de fase, se desarrollaron aplicaciones para la generacin y regeneracin de seales pulsadas basadas en el efecto de las autoimgenes temporales, y un mtodo de medicin de la dispersin. Tambin se desarrollaron tcnicas para la compresin y ecualizacin de pulsos del orden de los picosegundos de duracin. Finalmente, se propuso un dispositivo para el anlisis y sntesis de seales en el espacio mixto tiempofrecuencia. Se utilizaron los formalismos de la Distribucin de Wigner, la Transformada Fraccionaria de Fourier y la Transformada de RadonWigner para analizar la propagacin de pulsos con y sin chirp, la deteccin de seales con chirp y la formacin de las autoimgenes temporales mencionadas.
