En Bolivia no se han profundizado estudios de produccin de enzimas, y particularmente enzimas, obtenidas de microorganismos extremfilos. En el presente proyecto se estudi la produccin de amilasas, por microorganismos halfilos, es decir, aquellos microorganismos que crecen en ambientes con elevada salinidad, tales como lagos salados, suelos salinos. Por todo lo anteriormente mencionado, el presente proyecto de grado plantea estudiar microorganismos que forman parte del Banco de Bacterias Halfilas y Halotolerantes del Centro de Biotecnologa, obtenidos de varias Lagunas Salinas de Bolivia.
