El presente estudio tiene como objetivo Identificar las barreras y facilitadores que surgen de la incorporacin de la laptop XOcomputadora diseada para niosa escuelas pblicas del Per. Se analizan las percepciones de maestros y maestras desde una perspectiva cualitativa. El estudio se desarrolla en los departamentos de Arequipa y Puno, Per. El anlisis de los datos incluy la categorizacin de la informacin recogida y su triangulacin con otras fuentes de informacin. Los resultados de la investigacin, hacen referencia a un conjunto de elementos que impiden la integracin efectiva de las computadoras porttiles en el aula. Estas barreras identificadas se refieren principalmente al docente, su capacitacin, infraestructura tecnolgica, soporte tcnico y monitoreo. Asimismo se hacen explcitos a un conjunto de aciertos que facilitan el proceso de integracin de las computadoras porttiles en el aula. Estos facilitadores tienen que ver con las creencias de los profesores, disponibilidad de los porttiles, disposicin positiva del alumno para el trabajo con la computadora y acceso a recursos.
