El presente trabajo tiene por objeto el estudio de las polticas de apoyo a las empresas creadas a partir de instituciones universitarias con vistas a explotar comercialmente ciertos conocimientos producidos en su seno, empresas conocidas bajo el trmino anglosajn de university spinoff. En el trabajo se analizan las medidas que se estn adoptando en las universidades espaolas para fomentar la creacin de spinoffs, se identifican los problemas que se estn encontrando y se evala la actividad de creacin de spinoffs de la universidad espaola. El anlisis realizado ayuda a clarificar la problemtica de la creacin de spinoffs universitarias, y resulta de especial utilidad para el personal implicado en su apoyo, los propios emprendedores y responsables institucionales de la universidad.
