Por ello, en el IPMJMSM, extensin Ro Chico,estado Miranda, Venezuela, se evidenci que con el aumento progresivo de la matrcula y el poco inters en la solucin de los problemas ambientales debido a la falta de iniciativas institucionales se hizo necesario disear, aplicar y valorar un programa de formacin con la participacin de la propia comunidad, con la intencin de promover una cultura ambiental hacia la sustentabilidad. La metodologa se fundament en el paradigma socio crtico y la investigacin accin como mtodo. Tericamente la investigacin se respald en aspectos como la calidad de vida y el ambiente, gestin de riesgo y desarrollo sustentable, entre otros.
