En el mbito de la educacin se han reportado pocos esfuerzos en materia educativa ambiental, sobre todo para formar valores en la ciudadana y promover nuevas actitudes en favor de un ambiente ecolgicamente equilibrado. En tal sentido, la Universidad debe asumir un rol protagnico en la conformacin y promocin de redes sociales, que aborden conflictos ambientales, como: inapropiado manejo de las aguas servidas, uso inadecuado del recurso hdrico y calentamiento global. Por esta razn el libro que se presenta a continuacin muestra como mediante un plan de accin consensuado,abordado desde el paradigma cualitativo, en un proceso de investigacin accin participativa, en los estudiantes de educacin universitaria del IPM Jos Manuel Siso Martnez, se obtuvo el fortalecimiento de las debilidades existentes en la aplicacin de tcnicas y estrategias de enseanza, para disear, planificar y ejecutar actividades de concienciacin, dirigidas a la comunidad, a fin de propiciar desde la universidad el uso responsable del agua potable, en beneficio de una mejor calidad de vida
