Thomas Williams edition offers an Introduction well suited for use in an introductory philosophy course, as well as his own preeminent translation of the text.

I found Proslogion's arguments interesting, but I felt like it dragged on a bit. Gaunilo's replies are somewhat repetitive. It's good for those who are really into philosophy, but it might be a slog for casual readers.

Thought-Provoking Read
I picked up Proslogion along with Gaunilo and Anselm's replies for my philosophy class. The discussions are deep and really got my brain working! It’s not an easy read, but totally worth it for anyone interested in medieval philosophy.

Hard to Navigate
I appreciate what Anselm was trying to say, but the way it’s all laid out is kinda confusing. I struggled a bit with the structure, especially the replies. Perhaps some introductory commentary would help.

Good, but Not for Everyone
While I enjoyed the arguments presented in the book, I found the language a bit dense at times. It’s a great philosophical work, but if you're new to this kind of stuff, you might want to start with something lighter first.

Great Historical Context
I bought this for my research on medieval theology, and it serves its purpose well. The annotations are thorough, and the historical context enriches the main texts significantly. Just what I needed!
