Prosodische Phnomene wurden in der Dolmetschforschung lange Zeit vernachlssigt, obwohl ihre Bedeutung fr die mndliche Sprachproduktion bereits in sehr frhen Arbeiten zum Dolmetschen zum Ausdruck kam. Neben kommunikations, translations und dolmetschwissenschaftlichen Grundlagen bildet die Prosodieforschung den Ausgangspunkt fr die Untersuchung eines authentischen Korpus professioneller Dolmetschleistungen im Sprachenpaar EnglischDeutsch. Unter Bercksichtigung der spezifischen Bedingungen der Sprachrezeption und produktion beim Simultandolmetschen und unter Anwendung eines Analyseansatzes, der sich an den wesentlichen Aufgaben der Prosodie orientiert, werden die prosodischen Besonderheiten dieser simultan gedolmetschten Texte analysiert.
