En esta obra se analiza la proteccin penal que en el marco de la legislacin espaola, se confiere a determinados componentes de la propiedad industrial: la invencin, el modelo de utilidad, el diseo industrial y la topografa de productos semiconductores. A tal efecto, se parte de la delimitacin conceptual de la propiedad industrial y la identificacin de la normativa que la regula, se precisa su contenido y se valora la proteccin que en el mbito extra penal se otorga a cada uno de los mencionados bienes inmateriales de la propiedad industrial. Seguidamente, se aborda la tutela que en el contexto del Derecho Penal se brinda a esta categora jurdica, para lo cual se efecta una valoracin previa acerca de la pertinencia de dicha proteccin. Resuelta esa cuestin previa, se pasa al anlisis de la regulacin penal espaola, especficamente de los tipos penales previstos en el artculo 273 del Cdigo penal espaol, estudio cuyo fin ltimo no es otro que el de tratar de aportar una serie de reflexiones, criterios y soluciones, para la aplicacin de los referidos tipos penales, especialmente respecto de aquellas cuestiones que en mayor medida plantean problemas de interpretacin.
