Neue Informationstechnologien wie Objektorientierung, Multimedia oder ClientServerSysteme erfordern die Anpassung und Ergnzung bewhrter Entwicklungsmethoden. Integrierte Methoden, die die Organisations und SoftwareEntwicklung von der informellen Anforderungsanalyse bis hin zur Systemspezifikation, das Projektmanagement und die Qualittssicherung abdecke, existieren bisher nicht. Vielmehr mssen fr jedes Entwicklungsprojekt verschiedene Teilmethoden der Systementwicklung und des Projektmanagements zu einer integrierten Entwicklungsmethode zusammengebaut werden.Diesem Problem widmete sich eine Arbeitsgruppe aus Industrie, Finanzdienstleistung und dem Institut fr Wirtschaftsinformatik an der Hochschule St. Gallen.
