Psychology of Sex and Gender is an engaging and empirical text that not only introduces students to foundational (i.e., historical/contextual) understandings in the topic of sex and gender, but also moves them into cuttingedge topics and research that encourages them to (re)think their perceptions of gender in the world around them. It goes beyond the standard coverage, presenting topics with recognition of the biopsychosocial nature of sex and gender and encouraging students to examine the basis of similarities and differences among genders. I needed the 'Psychology of Sex and Gender' for my thesis, and it's been super helpful. The references are solid and it's laid out well. Just wish it had more case studies to support the theories presented. Still, a valuable read!

Not What I Expected
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the 'Psychology of Sex and Gender'. The material seemed dated, and I was hoping for more modern examples. It’s got some interesting points, but it wasn’t a page-turner for me.

A Mixed Bag for Me
