Shorttitle This study was essentially based Structural and Quaternary Tectonics of Major and minor tectonically active segments of Lesser Kumaun Himalayan Region Uttarakhand India?. The outcome of the present work on active tectonics is supported by the fact that majority of seismic events also lie around the North Almora Thrust zone. The study is essentially based on the tectonic geomorphological observations, morphometric analysis using SRTM 90 m resolution satellite data, Digital Elevation Modelling (DEM) technique, use of topographic maps, and study of distribution pattern of recent seismic events. The digital data analysis fits well with the data generated from field and morphometric analysis. The geomorphological analysis of lineaments suggests reactivation of thrust and associated. A geomorphological analysis of the North Almora Thrust zone has been undertaken to study relation of sedimentary sequences and topographical features related to active tectonics observed on DEM and on the field. During this research period numerous seismotectonically active EW, NNWSSE, EW and NNW SSE trending faults have been delineated.
