Product Description Quest of Hope is the second book in The Journey of Souls Series and is written as a companion to Crusade of Tears. It begins with the birth of Heinrich, the father of two of the young crusaders, and follows his amazing life during the mysterious times we call the Middle Ages. Confronted by oppressive lords, religious abuse, and the dangers of ignorance, Heinrich, like all of us, is bound to a life perspective shaped by the confines of his world. While called to the service of others far away, Heinrich discovers that his sons have joined the crusade of children! In a desperate pursuit to save them, he turns to face the daunting Alps, the perils of bloodlust, and his own soul's despair until Truth offers himlike usrescue with its wonderful gift of hope. From the Author This is the second book in the Journey of Souls Series and is a prequel. Oddly, I had become so connected to the characters of 'Crusade of Tears,' I wanted to explore the world that led them to where they began. This story will challenge the reader to imagine the nature of truth differently. I hope you will learn to love these characters as much as I have. Author About the Author C. David Baker writes from his small farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he raises livestock with an interest in natural/organic methods and a passion for humane treatment. A Christee nominee, he has written eight thematic historical novels, two books of spiritual reflections and one children's book, published variously in the U.S., the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Russia and Germany. Research for his books has taken him throughout Europe and the Middle East. Baker has a Master's degree in Theology from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Baker's specialty is the discovery of the untold story. More information can be found at cdbaker.com
