Las tecnologas de la informacin y la comunicacin (TIC) han demostrado su vala en los espacios educativos. El video digital, como ejemplo de las TIC, se presenta con bondades que permiten optimizar el proceso de enseanza aprendizaje, basado en la diferencia de la percepcin visual con respecto al resto de los sentidos. Varias son las herramientas creadas para la elaboracin de video digital pero la mayora enfrentan la barrera del conocimiento informtico que poseen los profesores, influyendo esto en los bajos niveles de elaboracin de material audiovisual en los centros docentes. En el presente libro se exponen evidencias sobre estas afirmaciones arribando a ellas desde el mtodo cientfico. En la obra, adems, se documenta el proceso seguido para definir las bases del desarrollo de una nueva herramienta de autor enfocada a la elaboracin de video digital. Orientada a docentes con conocimientos bsicos en informtica, la herramienta, se fundamentada en la funcin mediadora de las TIC, las funciones didcticas del video, as como en factores referidos a la facilidad de uso y la portabilidad de los materiales audiovisuales elaborados con ella.
