La autoficcin es un punto ineludible en la literatura hispana. A pesar de tener un nmero considerable de detractores, es indiscutible el auge que vive dicha nocin. Frente a la polmica, este libro propone un camino interpretativo que parte de la autoficcin especular y se centra en el aspecto estructural de la narrativa autoficticia, en su cualidad autorreflexiva, metaficcional y metaliteraria. De cara a este aparato terico, la literatura venezolana proporciona un corpus ideal, pues, escritores de estilos diferentes han explorado esta modalidad ficcional centrada en la figura del autor.
