Racism and Society provides an original and challenging account of racism and social and political relations in contemporary societies. Drawing upon their own research and the multidisciplinary perspectives of other scholars, the authors seek to provide an answer to some of the most difficult challenges that arise in the analysis of race and racism in contemporary societies. They point to the complex forms which racist discourses and mobilisations have taken in recent decades in a wide variety of societies and suggest that there is a need to rethink and go beyond existing theoretical perspectives.
