Unlike many other references, RadiationChemical Processes in Solid Phase analyzes experimental data on radiolysis in terms of solidstate physics. It traces the effect exerted by media from primary processes of radiationsubstance interaction to final products. The authors consider the main chemically active elementary excitations arising under irradiation of solids and discuss the mechanisms of chemical reactions induced by them. They present the general principles of solidstate and molecular physics, and cover numerous radiationchemical processes.

This book has a lot of theoretical content on solid-phase processes, which is great. However, I found some sections a bit too dry and lacking real-world applications. It’s a solid reference but I hoped for more practical examples. Still useful overall!

Not what I expected
I was a bit disappointed with this book. The content felt a bit outdated, and some of the theories were explained in a confusing way. I anticipated a more modern approach to the applications of radiation in solids. Wouldn't recommend for newcomers.

Great resource for advanced studies
I picked up this book on radiation chemical processes as I'm diving into solid-phase applications for my PhD. It's incredibly detailed and well-organized, making complex theories easier to digest. Definitely a must-have for anyone serious about this field!
