Wenn Leben im Leibe haben noch nach zweihundert Jahren wie am ersten Tag, so viel Dynamit, da man heute kaum riskiert, sie zu spielen, dann ja nicht mehr deshalb, weil die Handlung oder auch nur der Familienzwist im Hause Moor oder die Charaktere der einzelnen Bandenmitglieder uns herausfordern, sondern weil dieses Drama das Bild ist auch unserer Jugend, sofern die nicht schon mit einem Scheitel auf die Welt kommt: , das ist immer die Jugend, die diesen Namen verdient und die Bttel und die Priester und auch nur der Vater im Stck: das sind immer wir Alten, heute wie damals. Fragen wir uns doch, ehe wir leichtfertig Schillers Stck als verjhrt abtun, warum eigentlich dieser unser Staat Loyalitt von seiner Jugend erwartet? Der Geist der Rebellion, der zum hinreiendsten Drama macht, noch heute, das je ein Jngling schrieb, dieser Geist ist nicht identisch mit Terrorismus, sondern nur mit einem Radikalismus, derallein angesichts der Munitionsdepots vielleicht Europa retten kann.
