Sigmund Freuds 1905 Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality is a founding text of psychoanalysis and yet it remains to a large extent an unknown text. Freud's essays are fascinating, but definitely require some patience. A few concepts were tough to grasp without prior study. I appreciate the historical context, but it's not light reading! Still, I think it's essential for understanding psychoanalysis.
