Landrum is a funloving person who like most people has had many trials to which she has succeeded. Being a survivor of multiple myeloma cancer helped her realize the importance of doing the things she had always wanted to do. Reading to her own children when they were small and now reading to her grandchildren have also helped to inspire her to write children's books. It is her hope that this book will help young girls to understand that a true friend will be friends no matter what happens in their life. Recently she wrote her first book, The Story of Pete's Dream.
