Aufgrund von teilweise besseren Standortbedingungen (zu den wichtigsten zhlen nach Unternehmensangaben Steuern und Arbeitskosten) werden auerdem zunehmend Produktionssttten ins Ausland verlagert. Sofern die Unternehmensleitung eine Entscheidung hinsichtlich der internationalen Expansion fllt, sind, abhngig von den konkreten Plnen des Unternehmens, diverse Organisationsformen fr die Durchfhrung des auslndischen Engagements mglich. Wenn es sich z. B. um Vertrieb handelt, kann sich das Management zwischen dem Direktvertrieb, der aus Deutschland erfolgt, und Unternehmensprsenz vor Ort entscheiden. Die erste Variante ist besonders am Anfang interessant, zu dem Zeitpunkt, wenn die Unsicherheit ber knftige Geschftsentwicklung noch relativ hoch erscheint. Sofern allerdings das Unternehmen im auslndischen Staat Fu gefasst hat, wird eine Niederlassung vor Ort besonders im Hinblick auf die Konkurrenz i. d. R. unerlsslich; sie ist auch ntig, wenn die Errichtung einer Produktionssttte im auslndischen Staat vorgesehen ist.
