Establishing solid guidelines for records creation and retention can greatly reduce the amount of time and money that any company spends on daily printing, copying and storage. This book walks the reader through the stepbystep process of structuring a centralized program, creating a retention policy, developing a records schedule and managing the records inventory. It also includes helpful worksheets that will help with every aspect of program design.

This book is a decent guide for understanding records retention. It's mostly simple, but I found a few sections lacking in depth. I was hoping for more examples specific to my industry. Still, it's a good start for anyone who needs a refresher.

Not what I expected
Honestly, I thought 'Records Retention Made Simple' would have more practical templates or checklists. It’s pretty basic and doesn’t go into much detail, which was disappointing. I may need to look for something more thorough to really help in my office.
