Aus dem altgedienten Dokumentarfilm im Fernsehn ist lngst das Dokutainment geworden. Die Mischform aus Dokumentation und Unterhaltung folgt dem Trend, die ursprnglich rein erzhlende Form auszuweiten. Dazu bedienen sich die Produktionen immer hufiger der Nachinszentierungen bestimmter Szenen. Das sogenannte Reenactment erweist sich speziell bei der Darstellung historischer Themen als usserst beliebt. Aus diesem Grund hat sich die Autorin Chantal Walser entschieden, sich mit dieser neuzeitlichen Gestaltungsform zu befassen.
