Product DescriptionReflections From The Great Depression and WWII offers a series of short stories, recorded facts and quotes encompassing the lives and times of people who lived during the 1930's and 1940s. Much of the information comprised in this book is based on a series of many oneonone interviews with friends, relatives, neighbors and acquaintances that lived during that period. Interviews were conducted over a five year interval from 20082012. This book was created and constructed to be an Armchair Book. In other words, its perfect for a grandpa, a grandma, mom or dad to peruse and read with members of the younger generation. After all, todays youth may have many questions about a time when most folks had a lot less material possessions. Yet even with less, many seemed very happy back then as they enjoyed a time when life was much simpler! Woven within the contents of this book is a collection of little known facts that can be easily confirmed with an internet search. Some of these facts are intertwined together with the interviews to form a surprise package full of new and fresh historical information. That is why it is so very exciting and gratifying to present this information to readers both young and old, and from all walks of life.About the AuthorDr. John Michael Domino is a university supervisor for interns at The College of Education for Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU).
