Laut Kay Kirchmann gilt ein Film dann als reflexiv, wenn er einen oder mehrere seiner Konstituenten thematisiert' (Kirchmann 1994, 24) und sein Status als Text enthllt wird; er unterteilt reflexive Filme in Subkategorien wie Film als Kunstwerke, Film und Wahrnehmung, Film als Gegenstand und Produkt, Film und Gesellschaft, Film und Fernsehen sowie Film und seine Rezeption. Beim Film als Historikum legt er den Schwerpunkt auf die Reflexion ber das Genrekino dieser Punkt ist zentral fr diese Hausarbeit, da mit der SCREAMTrilogie (USA 1996 2000) eindeutig eine selbstbezgliche Tendenz gegenber dem Horrorgenre im allgemeinen und dem sogenannten TeenHorror' im speziellen in die Wege geleitet wurde. Diese Hausarbeit exemplifiziert die in der Arbeit vorgestellten Theorien anhand der SCREAMTrilogie von Wes Craven. Wie wird die Hermetik gegenber der Auenwelt erzeugt? Durch welche Stilmittel auf jeder Ebene der Diegese demonstriert der ImageMaker, dass er sich auf die Gattung TeenHorror bezieht? Wie entsteht der Eindruck, dass sich der diegetische Kosmos in selbstreferentieller Art und Weise nur fr sich und seine Medienvorbilder interessiert?
