Dabei verfolgen sie vielfltige Strategien, deren Finesse seit einiger Zeit intensiv erforscht wird. Es bedient sich dabei des Glutamatabhngigen Sureresistenzsystemes, welches hochkomplex reguliert ist und so sehr dynamisch auf vernderte Umweltbedingungen reagieren kann. Wie in dieser Arbeit dargelegt wird, findet die Regulation dabei auf allen Ebenen statt: der Transkription ber eine Regulationskaskade, der Proteolyse durch Abbau des zentralen Regulators GadE und auch auf posttranskriptionaler Ebene. Es wird hier ein Modell des regulatorischen Netzwerkes entwickelt, das aufweist, wie Escherichia coli sehr elegant auf jede Situation die angemessene Antwort finden kann.
