Wie in dieser Arbeit dargelegt wird, findet die Regulation dabei auf allen Ebenen statt: der Transkription ber eine Regulationskaskade, der Proteolyse durch Abbau des zentralen Regulators GadE und auch auf posttranskriptionaler Ebene. Es wird hier ein Modell des regulatorischen Netzwerkes entwickelt, das aufweist, wie Escherichia coli sehr elegant auf jede Situation die angemessene Antwort finden kann.
