Sprunggelenksnahe Frakturen gehren zu den hufigsten Verletzungen nach Berufsunfllen. Sie fhren nicht selten zu hohen Behandlungskosten und lnger dauernder Arbeitsunfhigkeit. Die im Buch beschriebene Studie evaluiert die Effekte einer drei bis vierwchigen stationren Rehabilitationsbehandlung (BGSW) an 76 Patienten mit arbeitsunfallbedingten sprunggelenksnahen Frakturen und verzgertem Heilungsverlauf. Zu Beginn und am Ende der stationren Therapie, sowie vier Wochen und sechs Monate danach wurden die Funktionsparameter Beweglichkeit, Kraft, Ausdauer, Gleichgewicht und der Funktionsscore nach Olerud/Molander (1984) erfasst. Darber hinaus erfolgte eine Befragung der Patienten zu den Beschwerden, der gesundheitsbezogenen Lebensqualitt (SF36) und zu verschiedenen psychosozialen Variablen (u. a. Arbeitsplatzzufriedenheit und belastung). Die erfassten Parameter lassen auf einen groen Rehabilitationsbedarf der Patientengruppe schlieen. Verschiedene standardisierte Behandlungsanstze werden auf ihre Wirksamkeit berprft, miteinander verglichen und Rckschlsse auf die medizinische und berufliche Rehabilitation der untersuchten Patientengruppe gezogen.
