Actualmente existen varias aplicaciones orientadas a la reingeniera, pero la mayora se han centrado en aplicaciones de negocio donde las prioridades difieren notablemente de las aplicaciones en tiempo real, en las cuales son prioritarias las caractersticas de desempeo, disponibilidad 7x24 y confiabilidad del sistema. Por consiguiente, realizar el mantenimiento de una aplicacin en tiempo real implica verificar que las modificaciones que se vayan a realizar no afecten considerablemente estas caractersticas. Realizar el mantenimiento de una aplicacin requiere inicialmente del entendimiento del software y para lograrlo existen dos anlisis de los sistemas: el esttico y el dinmico. La investigacin descrita en este documento concluye que para lograr una visin completa de un sistema es necesario correlacionar la informacin de los dos anlisis mencionados, ya que cada uno muestra una faceta de la aplicacin que el otro no puede obtener. La herramienta desarrollada ofrece esta visin unificada para facilitar el entendimiento de los sistemas en tiempo real y puede ser utilizada durante las distintas fases del proceso de desarrollo.
