Im Oktober 2003 feiert der Kolner Religions, Bildungs und Sozialhistoriker, Michael Klocker seinen 60. Geburtstag. Aus diesem Anlass wird eine aussergewohnliche Festschrift erscheinen: ein Lesebuch mit den Erinnerungen von etwa 40 Fachkollegen Kirchenhistorikern, Religionssoziologen, Padagogen, Ethnologen, Religionswissenschaftler und Theologen an pragenden Weichenstellungen, die sie zu ihren historischen Forschungsinteressen gefuhrt haben. Meist sind diese Interessen schon in Kindheit und Jugend angelegt, oft werden sie durch Personen oder Unterricht, durch Medien oder durch Architektur und Landschaftserlebnisse verstarkt, vielleicht sogar durch Traume. Es gibt solche Einflusse aber auch einen Mangel an Buchern, in denen Forscherinnen und Forscher sich an die Wurzeln ihrer eigenen wissenschaftlichen Beschaftigung mit der Vergangenheit erinnern. Die Festschrift will dazu beitragen, diesem Mangel entgegen zu wirken.
