Doch wie lsst sich dieser effizient messen? Bei Anwendung des Discounted Cash FlowVerfahrens tritt eine Problematik dahingehend auf, als dass sich die Wertkalkulation auf die komplette Unternehmenslebensdauer (Totalperiode) sttzt, was letztlich eine fortlaufende, periodenbezogene berwachung von umgesetzten Wertsteigerungspotenzialen nahezu unmglich macht. Auerdem sind die einzelnen Cash Flows aufgrund der fehlenden Periodisierung der Zahlungen relativ aussageschwach, wenn es um die Erfolgsentwicklung geht. Auf der anderen Seite weisen bilanzorientierte Rentabilittskennzahlen etliche Schwchen auf, wenn es darum geht, die Unternehmung nach ihrer wertsteigernden Strategieausrichtung zu beurteilen. Der Grundgedanke der wertorientierten Unternehmensrechnung ist nicht, dass die Unternehmensfhrung dann wertschaffend agiert, wenn sie einen positiven betrieblichen Gewinn ausweist, sondern erst, wenn die Gewinne die unternehmensspezifischen Kapitalkosten bersteigen. Aus diesen Grnden sind zur Ermittlung des marktwertorientierten betrieblichen ber bzw. Residualgewinns vielfache betriebswirtschaftliche Methoden entwickelt worden, die sich z.T. auch in der betrieblichen Praxis etablieren konnten und die als Magre die Wertsteigerung innehaben. Eines dieser Konzepte ist der so genannte Economic Value Added, welcher in dieser Seminararbeit vorgestellt und kritisch analysiert wird.
