La investigacion analiz la responsabilidad social como manifestacin de los valores en las cooperativas de servicio del sector elctrico. Se aplic el procesamiento cuantitativo de los datos obtenidos a travs de la aplicacin de un cuestionario a todos los directivos de las cooperativas mencionadas. Se determinaron los rasgos de responsabilidad social presentes en las coopertaivas con respectos a los agentes de influencia interna y externa. Se caracterizaron los valores presentes que orientan el comportamiento de los asociados en las Cooperativas y se estableci su correspondencia con los establecidos en la Ley Especial de Asociaciones Cooperativas de Venezuela. Al mismo tiempo se pudo constrastar la responsabiliad social con los valores cooperativos. Asi tambin se establecieron lineamientos tericos para contribuir con la consolidacin de la responsabiliad social a partir del fortalecimiento de los valores requeridos por las empresas cooperativas.
