El "ILUSIONISMO" es una realidad tcnicamente aceptada en el mbito de la integracin cromtica de las imgenes devocionales. La necesidad de su valoracin tcnicacientfica y lo conveniente de su normatizacin surge con fuerza ante un proyecto para intervenir estas imgenes policromadas. Este trabajo resultado de una investigacin realizada sobre la restauracin de Bienes Culturales, en el mbito local e internacional intenta brindar al profesional de la restauracin los argumentos tericos, los criterios, las tcnicas y las metodologas de intervencin vlidas que sientan precedente; adems, sugiere el marco terico requerido para que el "ILUSIONISMO" se plasme como una tcnica con fundamento cientfico que respeta el doble desafo que debe afrontar el restaurador al ejercer la funcin (el valor tangible e intangible). El texto, segn consta en acta universitaria, tambin ha sido recomendado como consulta a nivel acadmico de profesores y alumnos.
