Ein in Industriebetrieben zur Zeit viel diskutierter Themen komplex ist die Fertigungssteuerung. Gerade kleinere und mittlere Betriebe, die nach dem Prinzip der Werkstattferti gung arbeiten, stellen fest, daB ihre jahrelang praktizierte Handsteuerung den komplexen Beziehungen im Unternehmen und den Kundenanforderungen nicht mehr gerecht wird. Die Suche nach einer geeigneten EDVLosung unter den vielen am Markt erhlil tlichen Programmpaketen zur Produktionsplanung und steuerung (PPS) stellt die Unternehmen jedoch vor neue Schwierigkeiten. Zum einen wird eine spezielle Stlirke dieser Unternehmen die Moglichkeit, Mitarbeiter im Zeitablauf an verschiedenen Arbeitspllitzen und mit am Bedarf orientierten Arbeitszeiten einzusetzen in der Kapazitlitsplanung dieser Programme nicht unterstutzt. Zum anderen berucksichtigen die PPSSysteme in der Regel nicht, daB in den Betrieben Arbeiten fur einen Auf trag hliufig zeitlich parallel erfolgen konnen (vernetzte Fertigung). Die vorliegende Dissertation bietet eine Losung fur diese Probleme an. Mit der Retrograden Terminierung wird eine neues Verfahren zur Termin und Kapazitlitsplanung vorgestellt, das insbesondere bei personalorientierten Kapazitliten und ver netzten Fertigungsstrukturen zu gut en Steuerungsergebnissen fuhrt. Der Losungsansatz wurde bereits mit gutem Erfolg bei einem PilotAnwender einem mittelstlindischen Maschinenbau Unternehmen eingesetzt. PROF. DR. D.
